Dear Grosse Pointe Park Little League Sponsors, Families and Supporters,

Most of you are familiar with the Grosse Pointe Park Little League Yearbook.  It is a wonderful keepsake, a handy reference, and one of our most important fundraising tools.

GPPLL has been thriving in Grosse Pointe Park, we are in our 60th year.  Little League Baseball gives our children self confidence while learning the value of commitment, hard work, and self discipline.
Your support helps offset the costs to maintain and improve the ball fields as well as beautifying more green space in Grosse Pointe Park.
GPPLL needs your continued support to provide an exceptional baseball experience to the children in our community.  The children range in age from 5 to 18 years in age and compete in a range of divisions within GPPLL.

If you are an advertiser already, thank you!  We hope you'll support us once again.  If you're considering it, now is as good a time as any to start.  If you know someone with a local business, please tell them what great advertising options we have.

Here are a few quick facts:
*    Yearbooks are hand delivered by each of our Little Leaguers, in uniform, to over 5,000 households and businesses in Grosse Pointe Park the morning of Opening Day every year!
*    Over 60,000 hits were recorded on our website in one year.
*    The yearbook contains a picture of each team in the league - including more than 400 players and coaches - making it a lasting keepsake.

Please click on this link for rates and options.  Feel free to contact me or any other board member with any questions.
Thank you for your consideration, and please support the advertisers when you get the book.  Have a great season!
Deadline for Advertisements is April 7th!

Thank you for your consideration,

Keeping Your Children Safe
April 13, 2012

Little League Parents and Volunteers:

With the safety of the players and all Little League volunteers at the top of our list, Little League International is providing information for parents on keeping children safe from sexual abuse predators.

With many leagues already underway and some others starting in the coming weeks, the story, "Proactive Parenting: Use These tips to Help Prevent Children from ever Being Abused," provides 10 tips to keep your children safe by Jill Starishevsky, a prosecutor of child abuse and sex crimes in New York City.

A link to the story is available, at: http://www.littleleague.org/media/newsarchive/2012/Jan-Apr/ProactiveParenting-HelpPreventChildrenFromBeingAbused.htm. More information is available on the Little League website on reporting sexual abuse, at: http://www.littleleague.org/learn/programs/childprotection/ReportingChildAbuse.htm.
